Vigorous, upright plants with glossy, dark green, savoyed leaves. Very tender with excellent classic flavor. Grows to 10″ with 3″ leaves. Quick growing with heavy yield. Great for late spring and summer planting, second harvest in fall, slow to bolt.
Grows best in cooler weather. Sow in early spring/late summer. For best yield, harvest continually and succession plant every 10 days.

Seeds

Thin to 12″ on center spacing for seed plants. Save seed from 10 plants. Harvest when 2/3 of seeds are mature (turn from green to tan/brown). Cut branches or whole plant. Continue drying for 10 days. When stored under ideal conditions, seeds remain viable for 6 years.
